I have been trying different Sesame oils on Silkrute and this is one of the better ones.The smell is of high importance in sesame oil and the typical sesame oil aroma is present here. One can also find a mild jaggery smell (a little bit of jaggery is added in the wood pressed method of oil extraction) and the proportion of jaggery is perfect, not too much and not too less either.I find this oil best for South Indian cuisine. The dishes turn out highly aromatic and tasty.I also use it for a weekly abhyanga (oil massage) and it felt wonderful!Before buying I confirmed with the seller if it's made with black sesame seeds as black is known to be more potent and beneficial. It is an added bonus that this oil is made from black sesame seeds. The smell can be strong for those who are used to white sesame seed oil though.It comes in a plastic bottle but I am willing to overlook that given the quality of the oil. You can always transfer to an oil can upon receipt if that's a sore point for you.The seller sent a recent stock and that's a plus too.There was no leakage or spillage but just wish there was a tamper proof cursory seal on the lid.Will I buy again? Yes. Despite the high delivery cost, it is value for money.
