So, I have been buying mamra almonds from other sources, like BigBasket, for a long time.This is the first time I tried this brand from Amazon. The prices are comparable to what I pay for mamra almonds sourced from BigBasket.What lets you down is what's inside the packet. These almonds looked too big to be mamra almonds at first sight, but I tried them anyways. I think I see californian almonds mixed with the so-called mamra. Californian almonds sell for less than quarter the price of mamra almonds. Is that the reason?Every time I soak four almonds, I notice at least one of them is not shaped like a mamra, and looks and tastes like californian almonds. The mamra is distinctly sweeter, and oddly shaped.I feel cheated, especially as I had gotten four packets. But then I should have known coz these guys also sell on those DTH TV naaptol programs.I think such products give India a bad name. Hope sellers are not adulterating the packs, as the packs are certainly not tamper proof. Sad!
