I got two of these bottles to store oil. Earlier I used signoraware plastic bottles for oil. While cleaning plastic bottles, the oil does not go away completely, so I decided to go with glass bottles, because they are easy to clean.Everything was good, but after a month, I noticed the cap (made of plastic) broke. So effectively it is of no use. The glass part is good though.

Kept the full bottle on the floor, accidentally touched the top with my foot. Fell in slow motion, shattered to a million pieces... ????Since breaking it seems inevitable, here is what I did, and you can:- Wear gloves if you have those. You can never be too careful with broken glasses.- Pick up all the big pieces that you can see.- Mop up the water with some cloth. Carefully transfer it to the sink and hold the cloth hanging over it. Gently pat with a spatula from top to bottom a few times. Wring it, as much as possible, possibly with gloves on.- Do the above until there is no pooling water.- Turn on a fan till all the remaining water vaporize.- Now to clear out all the tiny pieces of glasses, use a vacuum cleaner with the carpet attachment. It'll unstick the pieces from the floor and pull it in.- Have a walk around with a torch or flashlight close to the floor, like headlights on a road. Use the vacuum if you see any more of those glittering gems waiting to pierce your foot.- Don't forget to wash of the sink.Good luck.
