Yes lids get rusty. Canning lids are supposed to get rusty - you don't reuse them you order new ones each time. This is not a food storage jar this is for canning purposes which is why it costs so much. One of the few truly wide mouth jars besides Kerr - every other manufacturer lies saying theirs are wide mouth when they are not.

Poor quality. Not worth the money. Glass looks cheap. It’s non returnable. Never buy this. Lid is rusted. Seller knows well that their product will be returned once the customer looks at it. So, wisely they made it non returnable. rs 445 wasted.

First of all if the products are unreturnable the brand should at least make sure they send a good product. Out of the three, one jar had a really battered cap. The quality of glass is poor and looks cheap. I bought these for the design but looking at the poor quality I regret buying it.
