Thought they had not mentioned it on the product description, I preseumed that the glass cover has a small exit for the steam.I've never seen a glass cover without the small hole for steam to exit.Apart from this issue, product is very good. Was packed very securely and sent off.Cooking on it does save a lot of time and due to the non stick coating, no food gets stuck anywhere and it's easy to turn.Remember not to cook on high heat nor to put cold water immediately after finishing cooking, this will lead to minor cracking of the Teflon coacting.

The stew pot has a very beautiful finish... I got it primarily to make biriyani.Only 3 stars because the glass lid is totally useless. It's not a tight fit on the pot so all the steam escapes. The lid sort of slides around the rim of the pot. I finally ended up using an old steel plate as a lid while making the biriyani.Just to clarify... it doesn't have an induction bottom.
