Bought this Anjali appam thatte about a week ago & i must say it is one of the best buys! Lightweight, easy to clean, uses very little oil, came with a wooden pick, & one of the most-used vessels in the kitchen! Definitely a fascination to see different dishes in this shape, kids love it too!The middle 3 spaces gets cooked faster than the ones around, so better to put whatever batter in those 3 spaces the last...Though it says 'Anjali' product, except for a small sticker on the handle nowhere else is the name written/embossed/etched... but still the product is a fine one, definitely recommend...I bought this at a discount offer price of 459/.

I had anjali appe pan earlier..it was superb..heavy built with deep cavities....it lasted for 15 yrs. I was super happy..so bought the same brand again but this time found that quality has gone very down...it is light weight and cavities are not deep so disappointed and now returning it.

Recently i learned about appam recipe .So i bought this set to make appams at home. I had no prior idea of appam maker .Cons : 1. This is a 12 hole appam patra. The diameter of appam patra is 20cms and that of each hole is 4cms. I think it is too small. I would rather go for a bigger appam patra of 25cms in diameter with 7 holes. I think it will be easier to cook appams in a 7 hole appam patras.(if you prefer small size appams, then it should not be the con)Apart from that there is no con. The build quality is good for the price we pay. Non stick coating is also of good quality. Overall the appam patra looks durable. It took 5 minutes to make one set of 12 appams and they turned out to be crispy and yummy. There is also a lid included .So it is a very good deal . The wooden turner helps in flipping and pricking appams when they are cookedi recommend this set blindly if you like small size appams. Otherwise go for a bigger base or 7 hole appam patra for ease of cooking.
