Each pressure cooker made by Hawkins features an inside fitting lid. This design is inherently safer than conventional pressure cookers. To open any Hawkins cooker, you have to first lower the lid slightly into the body of the cooker; and that cannot be done until the steam pressure inside the cooker falls to a safe level. Thus Hawkins pressure cookers are pressure-locked for safety - like a jetliner door!

??Wastage of money.??It doesn't even whistle and hence either food gets overcooked/burnt or remains uncooked.??Also it's very difficult to open/close.I am doing in the correct way though as per instruction. May be received a defective product as usually Hawkins' pressure cookers are not like this.

I bought the futura pressure cooker with all the hype and in the first use itself it leaks steam from the sides and the pressure is not maintained. I tried adjusting the lid and seal for the lid but none works. The pressure cooker is completely useless as it leaks the steam. I am not able to return the product as I taken it with for travel.Anyways be careful buying the pressure cooker and make sure it doesn't leak the steam.

Those who are do not care about weight go for it. But it is not easy to wash. If you want light cooker go for normal cooker. Please go show room and physically check this cooker whether it is okay for you or not. Quality and working all are amazing. Except weight.
