Been using Prestige pressure cookers for a long time. This is the first time i bought a stainless steel cooker. Its a little heavier than aluminium but steel-wares are good for health in the long run. It even has a pressure release indicator so we do not need to lift the weight and see if the steam has been released or not.

The cooker size is apt for preparing curry, meat or rice. If you are a bachelor or cooking for two, this is just perfect.The thick steel bottom helps to use on induction stove.Loved the inclusion of an easy pressure release valve.The handle is strong and bolted well. Handle on both sides help hold and move when hot.Heats up like any cooker would do.The smooth shape makes it easy to clean and dry.Won't say the cost is less but it's a good buy.

Very bad Cloudatail Seller, why do we need to disclose our purchase to others?.We purchased this cooker for cooking sambar, dhal and curries. Prestige cookers are good, but only next to Hawkins, however we found the equivalent in Hawkins are of costly. Plus, this Deluxe alpha contains the Pressure indicator which seems new and might be useful.In the box, 1 Cooker unit, Warranty card (Not sealed), Service manual, Cooking book. The box was sealed and new in piece. The cooker has this pressure indicator which rises when the sufficient pressure is reached and also indicates that if the internal pressure has dropped enough to open the lid. Well, this isn't a big deal but having this is not bad either. The whistle sound is loud and clear, only concern that if you don't place the lid correctly and close it, it could wrongly place the lid and can go locked up!.-- Always make sure you place the lid correctly while closing, check if it freely locks, else don't apply Force-- First time, add 300 ml water, lock the lid and heat it for 10 minutes. Then start using it-- Don't cook by whistle count always, use timeOverall, we are satisfied with the product, easy to wash unlike Hawkins lid closing internally. Able to cooksk curries, side dishes very well. Hope my review is useful, if so you may consider liking it. Thanks!

It is a wonderful addition to my aluminium free kitchen. One star deducted as the cooker gets a little discoloured on the bottom upon use.Volume - It can be used too cook dal for 3-4 people depending on their consumptions obv.I bought this mainly as I am in the process of replacing my aluminium cookers with steel ones. The cooker is heavy bottom (due to the induction base), easy to clean and easy to use. It seems durable. I have been using it daily for a month now and it is holding up well.The one negative is that even on the first use, the inside bottom of the cooker got a rainbow coloured shine. Somedays it gets a white powdery looking effect. I am not exactly sure which food item is doing that but I mostly use it to cook dal and boil vegetables. But this DOES NOT affect the taste of the food or the performance of the cooker in any way. Through research I also found that most steel pots and pans get this type of shine.TIP: To remove the rainbow coloured shine and the white powdery look you can pour a little vinegar in some water and let it heat up in the cooker (without the lid). When the water gets a little warm, turn off the gas and just let it sit for about 5-10 minutes (no need to cover the cooker). It regains the shine :) The rainbow shine or the white powdery look will return on use so I just use this trick it once in a while for my peace of mind ;)Please click on 'Helpful' if you found this review useful

Great product for an aluminium free kitchen

The product needs to be exchanged as the plastic handle of the lower part / base vessel of the cooker is found broken in two parts. I was out of Patna since 19th July, 2018 and returned to Patna only today. When I opened the package of the product today I found the breakage of the handle. Consider my request as a special case and do the needful in the regard at the earliest.16.09.2018Why are you not taking any actions to replace the item despite repeated reminders.The product is still lying as it received since it cannot be used with out the handle of the base vessel.28.09.2018Are you going to replace / exchange the product? You are reviewing it for a long time now and not giving any response in spite of my repeated requests. If you not replacing it confirm it accordingly per return so that I can throw away the item as it is not of any use to me.

Good product. Looks smaller than anticipated but that's only because its got an outer lid. I have a similar size Hawkins that is way older. Quality wise things are different from yore. But no complaints. This is a small beautiful product and if you get a lightening deal then all the more sweeter.
