Though two steamers are there, one steamer at a time can be used. It is very efficient. I used it two three times and worked very well. the bottom vessel can be used alone for many purpose. Induction compatible. Lid fits very well. Excess steam will be let out which is good.

The holes in the steamer layers are really far apart and quite distant from the edges. Also the bottom layer of the pan has sharp edges. Thus, I utilized the return policy on this product. Quite a smooth return process by Amazon.
