Features a thick base for slow cooking to retain food nutrients and fortify food with iron. Next time you do not have to worry about an overcooked center in a dosa. Our thick base will ensure that heat is evenly spread throughout the pan to help make crispy golden dosas and fluffy rotis. I brought a lodge 8" frying pan a few weeks ago and was very satisfied with it. That was my first cast iron pan. So I decided to buy another one. This one I needed for dosa, parathas etc. So I started looking for another lodge pan. But there was one problem. The lodge pan had a handle. The handle on the pan becomes as hot as the pan itself and one needs to buy a cover for it. I tried a couple of silicone handles on my lodge pan, but none were satisfactory. So this time I decided to buy a pan without the handle. I read the reviews of this pan and decided to buy this one. The price was less than half of the comparable lodge pan. So that was an added bonus. But I was wary about the quality of this pan. That worry was short-lived once I received this pan. Turns out this pan was actually of better quality than my first lodge pan. The entire surface of this pan is much smoother finish than the lodge pan. Its build quality is absolutely amazing! It is heavy, flawless in construction, no dents, no imperfections and the finish is almost like a regular stainless steel pan (the lodge pan finish is grainy). It is such a good thing to see made in India products outshine an expensive iconic US brand product. Not having the handle is a big plus. You don't have to worry about accidentally touching it and burning your fingers. The seasoning as it was applied was high quality but I still seasoned it a couple of times (applied peanut oil and heated in the oven face down for one hour on highest heat setting). Then the dosas started turning out great from the beginning. Now after a few weeks of use, it works like a non-stick pan. I recommend buying this pan without any reservations.

And there is nothing too much one needs to do besides the simple daily care of drying and oiling after each use. It comes with a one year warrant card. Unless it encounter damage during the transportation or a defective product at the time of making, there is hardly anything to worry about. This pice is going to last a lifetime! The first attempt of making dosa was partly successful. The second and third attempt was totally like a professional! Non-stick! Happy that I am getting good replacement for non-stick cookware at last. Delivery was also very good - double packed, prompt and before time! *Worthy of mentioning- there is star logo at the center of the back which is very beautiful! Thanks Silkrute and Dynamics!

A beautiful and sturdy product. Quality casting. Thickness is good. Internal surface is machined. Even external as cast surfaces are also quite good. Only issue is seller should mention complete dimensions. I bought 12.5" considering it's all inclusive but 12.5" is only the usable area and complete width considering handle is 15". It's too big for a normal household gas burner. Almost touches next burner on a 3 burner gas stove. Due to the size, seasoning becomes a difficult job as edges never smoke despite keeping on the highest flame for extensive periods. To season, pan needs to be moved around on the burner. It's highly risky to handle a smoking hot heavy pan. This also causes the seasoning to be patchy and inconsistent thus lowering the life of non stick coating.
