Nakshathra Iron Dosa Kallu Tawa is a specialty of a small community of artisans based in rural Tamil Nadu. Once known for making this tawas the art form is slowly dying with the introduction of non-stick cookware. We bring you these products directly from these artisans who have been making them for generations. Completely hand-made and pre-treated for immediate use in the burner. We have two variants: Medium and Large size Kallu- Both recommended for making Dosas Chapattis Parathas Adai Akki Roti etc. The Large Kallu is recommended for large families to make as many dosas as possible without overheating the Tawa.

Nice heavy cast iron dosa kallu. If we follow instructions properly dosa turns out good. I bought 2 kallu 1 for me and another for my Mom. We are replacing all our non-stick pans and pots with cast iron and stainless-steel for health purpose. Took out one star since i did not receive dosa turner. I recommend it ????
