Nakshathra Iron Dosa Kallu Tawa is a specialty of a small community of artisans based in rural Tamil Nadu. Once known for making this tawas the art form is slowly dying with the introduction of non-stick cookware. We bring you these products directly from these artisans who have been making them for generations. Completely hand-made and pre-treated for immediate use in the burner. We have two variants: Medium and Large size Kallu- Both recommended for making Dosas Chapattis Parathas Adai Akki Roti etc. The Large Kallu is recommended for large families to make as many dosas as possible without overheating the Tawa.

It's the best buy for us.. Sturdy and the ultimate dosa tawa. It has refreshed our memories of eating dosa at local tambhi shop. first attempt of making dosa was bit tedious since we were used to non stick cooking. But now in last 7 days my wife has learnt the trick. This tawa makes amazing dosa's. A family who frequently makes dosa should go for it. Yes product packaging can be improved. But product and build quality is amazing.
