I bought it to make my chopping easy. I had good, if not great, Hope's with it. So as soon as it arrived I tried my hands on it. My initial experience began to disappoint me. It got stuck, the blades didn't move at all and I kept on pulling the rope, shook it up and down and then gave up on it. Then after calming down a bit, I realized I was too hasty to judge it. I then took the thing at slow pace. So what I would suggest you, based on my later experience are:- put small amount of chopping items in it. Dont fill it more than half, in fact you should not even fill it half. And when you pull the strings, it may at first not be pulled, but dont panic, keep on giving small pulls until the blades find their gaps. And once it starts it will be a complete delight to pull the strings and see the big chunks getting chopped smaller and yet smaller.????- if you want to cut 4 onions, I would suggest to put two at once, cut in 3-4 pieces. It's still quicker than what you could chop with your hands. And when you look at the final result, you are totally going to be happy.I use it almost every day in my kitchen for small chopping.So for me it's a useful product so far????

It worked well for a few times but then the blades obviously become very blunt quickly and the thread becomes impossible to pull after a while. The mechanism of the blade moving when the thread is pulled fell apart after a while. When you tug at the thread it just comes out endlessly without moving the blade or it gets stuck. Okay product. Would not recommend for any heavy duty use.

I think this is my 4th Ganesh Vegetable Chopper in my family. We have been using this chopper since a long time and have a good ease of vegetable cutting. The blades movement are seamless and the threads are made of good quality. It has a proper finishing looks and is portable.
