Surprised, not because of it's actual functionality i.e., writing! No!!As a pen it's doing just fine. It's been almost an year and I have no complaints.But the most surprising thing is, it works as a STYLUS!!! I'm not kidding.Most of the styluses sold out there has a synthetic material over the tip that mimics the skins touch. But I wonder how this metallic tip of the cap works??!! Not the intended functionality, but I discovered it can be used. Tested it with my friend's phone too. Try and see. Don't curse me if it doesn't work for you!

Guys I have started using fountain pens again a few months back. I had used all types of fountain pens during my school days like COLLEGE brand eye droppers, Camlin, Parker (made in USA), Hero (China made). Recently I am using Platinum Preppy which is very smooth and excellent pen and yes expected since it is Japan made. This the Camlin Elegante is our very own Made in India pen. It makes us proud. Just superb pen. Very smooth. It is actually a no nonsense pen. Only thing...since I had read a few negative reviews about this...I am using it with PILOT BLUE ink. I don't know whether ink quality is further improving its performance or what? Whatever it may be.....This pen with Pilot ink combination rocks...just superb experience of writing with THE FOUNTSIN PEN. Thank you Camlin and Thank you Silkrute

Its the most optimal fountain pen for regular users. Looks decent, writes fine.I am using the pen for many years, may be 5-7 years now and have repeated buying of this pen.One observation in my last purchase is that the nib is scratchy. This might be just this piece or maybe there is a quality issue creeping in.Even now, I think it's the best pen below 500 price range.

Start of anything is always memorable and a sweet experience, same is felt when the pen was delivered but bit dissapointed and worried seeing the bad packing. Though the product was in fine condition when delivered. The feeder was bit disoriented but got well positoned after a little adjustment. The pen looks great, feels great in hand and writes smothly. It is not scratchy at all while writing. It says fine nib but it is certainly not fine, feels more like medium. The overall writing experience is good and it is a nice pen to start your penmanship journey and certainly a long way to go after this pen because one tries and require many more pens as he move forward in this path. It is a good start.
