The thickness is OK and the paper texture is smooth. It is good for pencil and pen drawing/sketching. Sketch pen leaves a mark on the back side. So only one side can be used for drawing. I am uploading a photograph of one of the initial lessons in line drawing. Very good sketchbook especially for beginners to keep a track of all the designs they learn.

Since its 100gsm, it definitely wont hold any sort of paint, however it holds oil pastels well. One issue I had was how my pencil sketches would leave impressions on the next page, which usually doesnt happen with sketches.
