Assembling the parts to make a kaleidoscope can be fun; therefore, the concept is nice. The instruction booklet is well written. For the steps 8-9, fixing the Long Pillar to the Supporting Disc using Small Band was difficult at times due to poorly cut notches (I fixed it using a knife). For the step 11, when the protective layers were to be peeled off all the 3 Mirror Strips to reveal the Mirror, I was not sure whether the protective layers at the back sides were to be peeled off as well (I peeled them off anyway as I thought it won't stick to the assembly otherwise). However, putting it together is definitely not for 6+. For older kids, following these instructions could be fine. When the kaleidoscope is ready, it's obviously for 6+, but if it's dropped, it has a high potential to be broken. My 8+ daughter has been enjoying it, and I'm thankful to Smartivity for that. Worth buying it.

The mirror is useless, this is not the kaleidoscope that we used to prepare at home when we were kids, I thought to give a chance, but the result is no where near to a real kaleidoscope. The beads or whatever they have given does not give a good effect. The material is sturdy but what's the use if this is not fit for purpose Don't buy

The product is awesome. Whoever has designed it, it has been done thoughtfully. The assembly is easy, the idea of rotational disk is awesome. A suggestion I would like to give is,...for the last disk, there should be some semi transparent material instead of the transperant disk.

Got this as I was feeling nostalgic about my school days and boy this did refresh my memories in HD! The kaleidoscope was easy to assemble ( has a very descriptive youtube video as well). Very simple and indigenous steps assembled to turn out to be a beautiful, creative setup. My kid enjoyed this a lot too. A worthy toy for around 500 bucks.
